So what do you do until 2010? But today is all you can really think about because, despite the economic downturn;
- the bills keep piling up and you are worried about your job,
- the children keep growing and need new clothes almost on a weekly basis,
- your car needs a major tune-up even though you're driving it less
- and forget about the new roof for the house...
The solution is obvious, you need to make extra money on a regular basis and soon. If you have managed to put away funds for a 'rainy day', they won't last forever.
So how can you make fast extra cash legally?
- ask your boss for a raise
- put in extra hours at work
- get a part-time job in addition to your full-time one
- cut down on expenses
- raid the attic and sell any surplus possessions…
But these solutions can have adverse effects on your work and home environments;
- your boss is a skinflint even when the economy is good - he's already cutting back on your regular hours and still expects a full day's work from you
- you can't put your job in jeopardy by pushing for a raise or extra hours
- part-time jobs are at a premium and hard to come by - if you do get one, your time with the family is reduced, and you still need to eat, bathe and sleep
- your expenses are already cut to the bone - you had to cancel the March-break road trip that the family has been looking forward to for the past year
- nothing left in the attic - maybe it's time to raid the neighbors' attics and sell their stuff on eBay
So is there a better solution?
